Seatrouts, Suddenly it just happen! (20/5-07)
Twelve fishingtrips without any luck.. The Swedish east coast haven´t been nice to them

in Stockholm archipelago. And this day we went out to to see if the the seatrouts
was back!

The Silverdemon (Nyköping 7/1-07)
Arrgh!!
Sea trout isnt the easiest fish to catch during the winter here at the swedish eastcoast...
I learned that the hard way.
Ive never really been into fishing at the coast.. ive been a greyling and trout fisherman since the day I
started out with a flyrod. But late -06 i bought my first heavier rod and decided to try and get some of those
silverish deamonfishes Sea trout!
A couple of trips.. freezing cold and without any fishes I started to despair. What the hell?! Where are they!!
Anyway.. its a new year.. and i refuse to be unsuccessful much longer ;)
I got invited by Johan Nygren a superb flyfisherman and a really cool dude to join him for som
seatrout fishing in Nyköping, and since i never say no to fishingtrips I jumped into the car and hit it.
I got some really good advice from him.. hes been fishing in that water for 15 years i had a few things
to learn from him.. And it didnt take long before the -07´s first fish was on the hook!
A small but beutifull seatrout!
A while later i got something on the hook again.. this time a lot bigger!
Just when i was supposed to take it up with my hands for a fast photo session the trout decided to go..
no photos but damn what a fish! About 3 kilos.. that's 3 kilo pure deamonpower! Argh! ;)
One more fish got hooked before the end of the day.. a small one again, but i gotta say...
Sea trout is a fantastic fish.. if you find them ;) And im going to do a lot of trips for them when the spring gets here.
What a great way to start the year huh ^^

The hunt for the Silver Demons part I (Stockholm)
"Per-Anders.. will you show me the seatrouts? Will you please guide me to my first silver caught with a flyrod?"
That was the first thing i asked when i learned to know P-A, who is a good flycaster and tier.
And soon he invited me to his place in Saltsjöbaden Stockholm for two days of seatrout hunting!
First day... man its really beautiful down there.
Well the first thing i learned is that the seatrout in this area just aint as many like it use to be. Why? I've heard a few
stories but i do believe that the weird and mild winter has something to do with it. It should be -10C but its still like
in the middle of spring?!
But i was really exited and had a feeling that i would get the first one on this trip.. maybe not today but at least one of
these two days.
This is going to be a short story.. argh!
I had a few strikes.. one of them bit off the tail of my "Magnus" fly!! But none landed =/
Got to say that i had a great time over there with P-A. No fishes but great whiskey, a few nice beers and
a amazing nature to spend two day in. =)
Big thanx P-A.. and next time we´ll get them!
